AN Ashburton driver has been banned for six months.

Nicholas James Turner, aged 61, of Prigg Meadow, changed his plea to guilty of failing to provide information to the police to identify the driver of a Skoda Fabia who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

South and West Devon Magistrates' Court said his ban for months was ‘obligatory due to repeat offending’. His driving record was endorsed with six penalty points.

He was also fined £432 and ordered to pay costs of £90 to the Crown Prosecution Service and £43 to fund victim services.
