A FAMILY whose animals were apparently ritually slaughtered by a deranged pervert in the Teign Valley have appealed for the killer to be caught and locked away quickly.

Sixteen-year-old Aziah Beesley and his mum Maxine are still reeling from the shock of the grim and bloody discoveries in a field off Pound Lane, Bridford.

Ms Beesley, who lives in Exeter but keeps her animals on sites around the village, said on Wednesday: 'We still can't understand why this has happened. It's dreadful. All we know is that the person behind these terrible incidents needs help. They need to be put away for their own good – and for everyone else's.'<
