R D Johns has unveiled a new showcase kitchen at its Kingsteignton headquarters to show customers how to get the best out of the range of products it sells.
The food wholesaler will invite guest chefs and customers to use the kitchen to demonstrate recipes and share their stories.
‘We collaborate with a vast array of suppliers, and they often want to showcase their products to us and our customers. We thought, why not provide the perfect environment for them to do so?’ a spokesperson from R D Johns commented.
The space has been designed so cooking demonstrations can be filmed and shared on social media, including the R D Johns YouTube channel.
‘It’s designed to be a space where people want to visit, cook and be part of a vibrant community,’ the R D Johns spokesperson said. ‘We’re aiming to build a community of food lovers eager to share thoughts and ideas,’ the spokesperson added.
In future, R.D. Johns is hoping to use the space to host business events and networking.
The kitchen was designed by Richard Brooks from Aspen Services and includes iCombi pro ovens and iVario pro cooking systems from Rotational.
‘We aimed for a kitchen that is not only visually stunning but also highly functional – a space where we can demonstrate the incredible products we offer and Richard hit the brief perfectly,’ R D Johns noted.
R D Johns moved to its current head office and depot at Ugbrooke Business Park last summer.
