A WARNING has been issued to a Newton Abbot shop over the selling of vapes to a person under under 16.

On their Facebook page the town’s police issued a notice with Teignbridge Council saying: ‘Today, we issued a Community Protection Warning to a shop in Newton Abbot for selling vapes to under 16s.

‘The sale was captured on CCTV and our Antisocial Behaviour Officer and the Newton Abbot policing team visited the shop to enforce the warning.

‘If the shop is found selling them again, they will be served a Community Protection Notice, breach of this notice will result in a £100 fine.

‘Our Community Safety Partnership Team deal with a wide range of antisocial behaviour issues, however, if we don’t know it’s happening, we can’t help.
