There’s currently a stuck ship in the River Teign this morning (Thursday, April 10).

The cargo vessel Scot Bay grounded on the approach to the Port of Teignmouth earlier this morning. The vessel had been travelling to Teignmouth with a cargo of animal feed from the Netherlands.

Teignmouth Harbour Commission are on site and aware of the situation and in a statement online have said “they will be coordinating with partners to rectify the problem and get the vessel to where it should.”

With the tide currently on the way out the ship is likely to remain where it is until high tide early this evening.
