THE great and the good from Kingsteignton Town Council have elected their mayor and deputy mayor for the forthcoming year.

Cllr Ron Peart was duly elected as mayor, which will be his sixth stint as mayor, having first taken on the position in 2016 where he served until 2018 before giving way to Cllr Rollason, who served as mayor from 2019 to 2020.

Cllr Peart took on the responsilbilty again in 2021, 2022 and now, following last week's Annual Meeting of Kingsteignton Town Council, 2023.

By his side for the forthcoming year is Cllr Bill Thorne, who was elected as Deputy Mayor.
