ANOTHER Black Swan cygnet from the newest brood in Dawlish has died.
Waterfowl wardens in the town announced the death of the second of six cygnets which were born a few months ago.
A spokesman for the wardens said: ‘Sadly we must announce the loss of another cygnet.
‘He was looking quite poorly and we took him to the vets immediately.
‘Unfortunately, his health took a turn for the worse.’
The four remaining cygnets are in good health and have been out and about on the Brook and Lawn with parents dad Bert and mum Kimba.
Last month, the sixth cygnet died, possibly attacked by seagulls.
The brood hatched in September.
Black Swans have been the emblem of Dawlish for more than 50 years.
