ONE creative genius from Kingsteignton’s Rydon Primary School bagged himself a £20 book token for designing a festive card.
The whole school accepted Newton Crisis Aid’s challenge of designing a Christmas card but Year 2 pupil Sebastian Smith came out on top.
Gordon Hook, from Newton Crisis Aid, said: ‘Picking a winner was always going to be difficult and we are hugely grateful to all pupils and staff for their commitment and help.
‘Sebastian did a great job and his design has been made into the Newton Crisis Aid Christmas Card.’
The card is now on sale at the school and the Avenue Church.
They will also be available to buy at Newton Abbot’s Victorian Evening on Wednesday and every penny will go towards helping those in crisis somewhere in the world at Christmas.
