A PERFORMANCE of the Lion King by youngsters at Cockwood School has been declared a ‘roaring success’.
Years 6 children performed Disney’s Lion King Jnr at Teignmouth Community School to a packed audience of family, friends and guests from The Helen Foundation and Ella Philps Fund, who supported the purchase of the show’s licence.
Described as ‘truly exceptional’, the children demonstrated impressive confidence in learning and delivering their lines.
Every child took part in the production, showcasing a range of show songs and dance routines.
Head of school Alison Roper said: ‘Participating in such a production fosters essential skills like resilience, confidence, and creativity.
‘I am immensely proud of all the students involved in this endeavour.
‘Their hard work and dedication were evident in the quality of their performance, and it was a joy to witness their talents.
‘This production serves as a testament to the incredible abilities of our students and the dedication of our staff in nurturing their potential.’
