A school in Kingsteignton has closed today after students and staff were struck down by a diarrhoea and vomiting bug.
St Michael’s Church of England Primary school has closed for one day to enable a deep clean to take place to prevent the illness spreading further.
The school is due to reopen on Monday.
Public Health England advises that anyone with a stomach bug should remain at home until 48 hours after the last episode any vomiting and diarrhoea.
Anyone suffering with sickness and diarrhoea should rest and drink plenty of fluids.
