SEVERAL signed music related items from a large Cornish collection will add variety to Michael Bowman’s May 27th auction at Chudleigh Town Hall.

Most relate to the band, Oasis, but estimated at a tempting £100-150 is a pink guitar, signed by the Sex Pistol’s lead singer Johnny Rotten (John Lydon).

A good selection of wrist watches is led by a 1976 Rolex Explorer II with orange hand , estimated at £10,000- 15,000. A four year old stainless steel Rolex Submariner comes with its original guarantee card and hopes of £6,000-8,000. A boxed 18ct gold Patek Philippe watch looks for bids of £2,500-3,000.

A colour change four-carat Ceylon sapphire and diamond cluster ring features in the jewellery section. The familiar blue colour of the sapphire appears purple under incandescent light. Interest in the region of £2,000- 3,000 is anticipated.

A modern silver scale model of a WWI period field gun with limber, measures 21ins overall length, bears London hallmarks and includes a wealth of detail - bids of £1,500-2,000 are expected for this unusual item.

The auction is on view at the Town Hall on Friday, May 26,4pm to 7:30pm and from 10:30am on Sale Day.
