Drivers in and around Teignbridge will have 16 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A30, from 6am January 9 to 8pm February 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 both directions Fingle Glen to Alphington lane closures/contraflow and 50mph speed limit for resurfacing.
• A30, from 6am October 25 2022 to 6am February 25 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Alphington entry slip lane narrowing for resurfacing.
And a further 14 closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A38, from 8pm February 6 to 4am February 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Linhay to Dart Bridge - lane closure for drainage works.
• A38, from 8pm February 7 to 4am February 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Lower Dean to Peartree - lane closure for drainage works.
• A30, from 7pm February 8 to 6am February 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 Both Directions Tongue End to Woodleigh lane closures for drainage.
• M5, from 9am to 4pm on February 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 31 hard shoulder closures for electrical works.
• A30, from 7pm February 9 to 6am February 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Whiddon Down to Woodleigh lane closures for drainage.
• A38, from 7pm February 9 to 6am February 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Ashburton lane closure for carriageway sweeping.
• A38, from 7pm February 10 to 6am February 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Ashburton to Goodstone lane closure for carriageway sweeping.
• A30, from 7pm February 14 to 6am February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Alphington junction, Exeter to Fingle Glen carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via Ide Lane, Tedburn Road and Five Mile Hill.
• A30, from 7pm February 14 to 6am February 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Fingle Glen carriageway closure between exit and entry slip roads for resurfacing, diversion via exit and entry slip roads.
• A30, from 11pm February 14 to 6am February 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Fingle Glen to Alphington junction, Exeter carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via Five Mile Hill, Tedburn Road and Ide Lane.
• A30, from 6am February 15 to 6am February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Alphington to Fingle Glen lane closure and 50mph speed limit for resurfacing.
• A30, from 6am February 15 to 8pm February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Fingle Glen to Alphington lane closure and 50mph speed limit for resurfacing.
• A30, from 7pm February 15 to 6am March 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Fingle Glen to Alphington junction, Exeter carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via Five Mile Hill, Tedburn Road and Ide Lane.
• A30, from 8pm February 16 to 6am February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Alphington entry slip lane closure for resurfacing.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
