Drivers in and around Teignbridge will have 17 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A30, from 11pm January 8 to 6am January 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Fingle Glen to Alphington junction, Exeter carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via Five Mile Hill, Tedburn Road and Ide Lane.
• A30, from 7pm January 8 to 6am January 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Fingle Glen carriageway closure between exit and entry slip roads for resurfacing, diversion via exit and entry slip roads.
• A30, from 8pm January 8 to 6am January 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Alphington junction, Exeter to Fingle Glen carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via Ide Lane, Tedburn Road and Five Mile Hill.
• A30, from 6am October 25 2022 to 6am February 25 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Alphington entry slip lane narrowing for resurfacing.
And a further 13 closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A30, from 6am January 9 to 8pm February 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 both directions Fingle Glen to Alphington lane closures/contraflow and 50mph speed limit for resurfacing.
• M5, from 8pm January 9 to 6am January 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 31 to 30 lane closure for bridge repairs.
• A38, from 9pm January 11 to 6am January 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Splatford Split (A380) to Belvedere Cross carriageway closure for white lining, diversion via A380 Telegraph Hill and local roads to Belvedere Cross.
• A38, from 8pm January 12 to 4am January 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 both directions Peartree to Dart Bridge - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.
• A30, from 9pm January 12 to 6am January 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Kennford entry slip road closed for white lining, diversion via A38 eastbound to A30 and return via Alphington.
• A38, from 9pm January 12 to 6am January 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Kennford to Belvedere lane closure. No access to A380 at Splatford Split, diversion for Telegraph Hill A380 via Belvedere exit slip road and local roads.
• A38, from 8pm January 13 to 6am January 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A38 westbound, Telegraph Hill (A380) to Heathfield (A382) - carriageway closure. Includes closure of Chudleigh westbound, entry slip road. For White Lining/Road Markings. Main diversion via A380, A383 and A382 to Heathfield. Chudleigh entry slip diversion via B3193 and A382.
• A38, from 8pm January 17 to 6am January 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Peartree A385 to Goodstone A383 (Ashburton) lane closures for white lining.
• A38, from 9pm January 17 to 6am January 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Peartree A385 entry slip road closed for white lining, diversion, A38 westbound to Dartbridge A384 and return.
• A38, from 9pm January 17 to 6am January 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Linhay B3352 exit slip road closed for white lining, Access to local road Whistley Hill closed from eastbound, carriageway, diversion, A38 eastbound to Drumbridges A382 and return.
• A38, from 9pm January 19 to 6am January 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Goodstone exit slip road closed for white lining, diversion, A38 eastbound to Drumbridges A382 and return via minor roads through Bickington.
• A38, from 9pm January 19 to 6am January 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Linhay B3352 entry slip road closed for white lining, diversion, A38 westbound to Peartree A385 and return.
• A38, from 7pm January 23 to 6am January 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Linhay exit slip road closed for horticultural works. Diversion via A38 eastbound to Goodstone and return to exit.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
