Drivers in and around Teignbridge will have 10 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A38, from 7pm October 16 to 6am December 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Linhay to Goodstone lane closure for S278, junction improvement works. Minor local authority, junction closed, eastbound, traffic diverted via Goodstone junction. Westbound, traffic diverted via A38 westbound to Linhay and return to Goodstone to exit.

And a further nine closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A38, from 7pm December 11 to 6am December 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Clay Lane exit slip road closed for carriageway surfacing works. Diversion via A38 eastbound to Chudleigh Station and B3193.

• A30, from 8pm December 11 to 6am December 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 both directions Fingle Glen to Ide lane closures for structure maintenance.

• A30, from 8pm December 11 to 5am December 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 Both Directions, junction 30 to junction 31 lane closures for electrical works.

• A30, from 9.30am December 12 to 3.30pm December 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Fingle Glen lane closure for technology works.

• A30, from 8pm December 13 to 4am December 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Alphington to M5, junction 31 lane closure for barrier repair.

• A30, from 7pm December 14 to 6am December 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 31 to junction 30 - carriageway closure for structural works. Diversion via A30 to Alphington, A377,B3123 and A379 to junction 30.

• A38, from 8pm December 14 to 4am December 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Wobbly Wheel to Kennford lane closure for drainage.

• A38, from 8pm December 14 to 6am December 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 both directions Linhay junction, Ashburton to Goodstone lane closures and convoy working for National Grid works, .

• A38, from 8pm December 15 to 4am December 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Splatford to Exeter Racecourse lane closure for barrier repair.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
