POLICE are investigating a spate of suspected arson attacks in Newton Abbot.

Four fires have been discovered over the space of just six days in the Salisbury Road and Buckland View area.

All the fires involved wheeled bins which had been set alight but the damage has been getting worse at each incident.

Residents are now fearful someone could be hurt.

Julia Baker, who lives in Buckland View, said: ‘We are a fairly close-knit, quiet community here and look out for each other.
