TEDDY bears will be thrown from a village church tower, but they will have parachutes.
The best flier will win a prize for their owner, and the £1 entry fees will go towards the All Saints Church, Combeinteignhead, funds.
It is all part of Devon historic churches open day on September 8, which also coincides with a wedding. The brother of the bride is coming over from Australia, and his old teddy bear will be there as well so his four year-old daughter can enter the competition.
Other events at the 12th century church include refreshments including home made cakes, and a stall selling local produce. The fun starts at 10am.
