THERE was a lot of horsing around at Rowcroft Hospice last week as patient Pat West received a visit from a rather unusual guest.
Her granddaughter’s horse, Puzzle, trotted from his home in Ipplepen for a special visit with Pat.
Ms West had only ever met him once, when she was on a home visit from the hospice, so she was delighted to see him being ridden by her granddaughter Megan.
Pat, who has been a patient for a number of weeks now, said: ‘It was great to have him here, it was a very good day and the staff have been excellent.’
Daughter Sally added: ‘Today we’ve been able to bring a bit of home into the hospice for mum.’
The hospice is no stranger for four-legged friends popping in for a visit but having a horse on site was rather unusual.
