PUPILS at Chudleigh Community Primary School have been working hard to brighten up their playground by designing and making two large mosaics. School Governor Suzanne Hill, who researched different projects for the children, approached the Helen Foundation who kindly supported them with a grant. The pictures that year two students drew of the seaside were given to artist Michelle McQuinn Farrand who incorporated them into the mosaics. Year six students worked with Ms Farrand for four days cutting tiles and assembling the finished products which are now on display. Headteacher David Barnett said: ‘We are really grateful to Suzanne for driving this project to the Helen Foundation for their incredibly generous support. ‘The children really enjoyed working with Michelle and the mosaics are a wonderful addition to the playground.’ The two works of art were officially unveiled at the school by Suzanne and Annie Grant from the Helen Foundation on Tuesday
