BACK to school this week was a punishing experience for some girls at South Dartmoor Community College in Ashburton who were reprimanded for showing up without the new regulation skirt and logo.
Parents of the pupils were furious that their children were put in an ‘isolation’ class for not toeing the line on their first day back from the summer holidays.
They claim the girls were being penalised because some families can’t afford the skirts which cost £17 – when similar garments without the logo can be bought for half the price at other outlets.
