A SHEEP killer in Teignbridge has been butchering animals whose meat may not be fit for human consumption, police have revealed.

And they are now linking a trio of slayings in fields around Liverton and Ilsington to a spate of lamb slaughters at Higher Ashton, near Christow, at the end of last year.

On each occasion the perpetrator kills his victim in situ, skins it and then butchers it before leaving the carcass at the scene.
