800 homes in the Bovey Tracey area were left without electricity following a power cut earlier this evening, Wednesday.

National Grid has reported that by 8.30pm 96 homes were still without power, mainly in the Bradley Road area.

The power cut was reported to National grid at around 7.50pm in the TQ13 area.

On their website they report: ‘There is a fault on our high voltage network in the area which we are working hard to resolve.’

'We are aware of this power cut incident which was raised at 7:51pm this evening and our engineers are working to get the power returned as quickly as possible.

'We are sorry for any inconvenience this is causing you.'

Power to all homes was restored shortly before 9pm.
