More than 20 postal workers, with a steady stream of others joining as the morning wore on, gathered outside the Royal Mail delivery office in Forde Court, with some having manned the picked line since 4am.

Today’s strike action is the second in a series of four: the first day of strike action took place on August 26 with Royal Mail staff planning further strikes on September 8 and 9 also.
