Businesswoman Lisa Robillard Webb (pictured) has been selected as Labour’s candidate for the Central Devon constituency to stand in the June 8 General Election.
Lisa was born and raised in Devon and lives in the heart of the community with her husband and two sons, running her own small business and working part-time at her local primary school.
She has chaired Central Devon Labour Party for four years and has been active in local and national elections, standing as candidate in local elections and campaigning in two General Elections as well as the European Referendum.
The parliamentary hopeful said: ‘Devon is my home. It’s where I live and work and where I am raising my family.
‘Devon needs a Labour voice to fight for the services and leadership we deserve. I am extremely proud to be the party’s candidate for the General Election.’
Lisa is known for her commitment to the local community and is passionate about protecting education, health and social care services.
She believes in fighting for mental health services, affordable homes and challenging the growing gap between rich and poor in the UK.
She says she is a great listener and understands the needs of local people in her community.
She recognises the particular challenges faced in a large rural area and will be an active representative of the constituency’s needs.
Lisa has promised to defend local services and will work to make sure the people of Central Devon get the best deal when Britain leaves the EU.
