A MYSTERIOUS Chinese millionaire and angry residents in the Teign Valley are at loggerheads over the future use of one of the most expensive and beautiful properties in the South West.
Locals in the tiny community of Canonteign are furious that Beijing-based businessman Liquin Peng is aiming to use his £4 million Elizabethan manor house as a holiday let.
They claim those renting the stately pile – built in the 1580s – will lower the whole tone of the hideaway hamlet and wreck the value of their once peaceful homes.
