A PUBLIC inquiry on the development of 203 homes at Whitehill, Newton Abbot, is set to start on Tuesday.

Linden Homes were refused permission to build the houses on the outskirts of the town and they are now appealing the decision.

The inquiry, which is open to the public, will be taking place at Teignbridge Council offices from 10am and is expected to last for several days.

Planners at the district authority turned down the application last year.
