PLANNED power cuts by the national grid in the Ness area of Shaldon on Wednesday, October 25, will prevent people safely accessing or leaving the beach via the Ness tunnel.
The power cuts are scheduled for between 9am to 10am and 2pm to 3pm.
This will mean that during these times when there is no electricity, the tunnel will be plunged into complete darkness.
Residents and visitors are advised not to use the tunnel during these times.
Notices are being displayed at the tunnel and the National Grid has informed homes in the area affected by the power cuts which are for essential maintenance.
