A PEDESTRIAN has been seriously hurt in a collision a car in Newton Abbot

Police were called to Mayflower Avenue in Newton Abbot just after 7.45pm last night, Tuesday, to reports of a collision involving a car and pedestrian.

A police spokesperson said: ‘An ambulance also attended and a male pedestrian, in his 20s, was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious.

‘The road was reopened just after midnight.’
