TWO men from Newton Abbot were arrested on suspicion of deer poaching after a disturbance outside Chudleigh Police Station.

Officers inside the station heard a commotion and went to investigate late on Friday night.

It is understood the fracas involved the duo from Newton Abbot and gamekeepers who had driven to the station from the Higher Ashton area where they had come across a pair acting suspiciously in the dark.
