CONTRACTORS working on the project to protect the coastal railway line took time out of their work to join Dawlish residents in commemorating Armistice Day.
The Orange Army team from contractors BAM Nuttall stood in silence along with the Dawlish Royal British Legion and town council along with residents to mark the 11am silence.
A Network Rail spokesman said: ‘Today we honour the memory of those who lost their lives or were injured in the defence of their country.
‘Our team at Dawlish stopped work and joined the community to observe the two minute silence.’
