Teignmouth Lido will be opening for the 2025 summer season on Sunday May 24.

The outdoor pool, located at the end of the town’s seafront, is run by Teignbridge District Council.

Last year, questions were raised over the future of the pool, as Teignbridge reviewed its assets as it sought to make ends meet. Councillors were considering whether to offer the Lido to another group to run, but reassured residents that there was no desire to close the popular pool.

The 25-metre pool was closed for two years after the Covid pandemic and reopened in 2023 following an £800,000 decarbonisation project. However, a leak meant the pool shut after just three months. Last year was the first time it was open for the entire summer.
