THE trial of a Newton Abbot man who is accused of domestic violence has been moved from Exeter to Plymouth because of lack of court time.
Levi Moore, aged 31, of Brownhills Road, Newton Abbot, was originally charged with coercive and controlling behaviour, assault, and criminal damage when he was sent to Exeter Crown Court by magistrates.
He was not asked to enter a plea at a short hearing at Exeter Crown Court at which Judge David Evans adjourned the case to allow time for a mental health assessment.
He adjourned the case for a trial which has been moved to Plymouth Crown Court in May for reasons of availability and remanded Moore in custody.
