West Devon Borough Council announced last night that its bid for funding for the proposed Okehampton Parkway Station was successful.

The borough council has been granted over £13 million from the Government's Levelling Up Fund to build the new railway station which is planned for the east side of Okehampton.

Plans for the new station also include high quality cycle facilities and EV charging points.
