AN animal rescue charity is celebrating after having welcomed its 5000th animal through its doors.
A hedgehog named Nancy marked ELM Wildlife’s 5000th admission.
Weighing just 251 grams and arriving from Plymouth, Nancy was admitted to the animal rescue charity with a head wound.
‘Nancy is making great progress, her head wound is clean and healing well and she is gaining weight nicely’ a spokesperson for ELM Wildlife said’
‘We are super proud that we have reached the huge milestone of 5000 admissions since ELM opened its doors back in October of 2018.
‘5000 admissions is a really big deal, it’s a testament to the success ELM has become in just under 6 years.
‘Our future looks bright and with your ongoing support we will continue to go from strength to strength’ the spokesperson added.
ELM Wildlife is the largest rescue centre in South Devon, taking in more than 1,500 animals a years.
