A DAWLISH businesswoman has raised more than £1,000 for a Cyprus-based animal rehoming charity.
Chrissy Marks of Signature Hair and Beauty in Dawlish has raised close to £1,200 off the back of a fund-raising campaign for Saving Pound Dogs Cyprus (SPDC).
She has since become an official fundraiser for the charity.
Alongside going out and about collecting, Chrissy had collection boxes at her Queen Street studio for several months.
Saving Pound Dogs Cyprus saves dogs from municipal pounds and rehabilitates them, with the aim of finding them a forever home
Chrissy herself adopted a dog from Cyprus.
She is calling for people to continue to support the charity, especially as the charity’s van, the vehicle is uses to transport dogs in Cyprus, is in need of repair.
‘Any donation will make such a difference’ Chrissy said.
‘Please help, however small - they will be so very grateful’ she said.
