FIREFIGHTERS from one of Teignbridge's many fire stations attended more than one hundred incidents in the first three months of this year.

Across January, February and March, Dawlish Fire Station attended 113 incidents: 32 fire incidents and 81 co-responding incidents.

These incidents are split between the stations fire appliance and its co-responder vehicle.

A spokesman for Dawlish Fire Station said: 'We’d like to say a big thank you to all of the families of our firefighters for their support and the sacrifices they make whilst watching their loved ones leave at a moments notice to go and serve their community day or night.

'Also a huge thank you to our local employers for releasing their staff to attend call-outs and enabling us to keep our appliances available.'
