A TRANSPORT association's mobility scooter challenge was been postponed.

Newton Abbot Community Transport Association's 'Shopmobility Challenge' was due to take place today, Wednesday, March 8, however it has been postponed until April 19.

This is so organisers can go shop to shop and gather a sufficient number of willing participants.

A popular event in years past, the challenge allows for able-bodied people to get a taste of what it is like from atop a mobility scooter.

Participants travel along a set route around Newton Abbot, determining how accessible, or perhaps not, the town is, all the while answering questions.
