Teignmouth’s Tea by the Quay tea room is reopening as a cafe with a new name and fresh look on Thursday (August 15).

Milo’s ‘grand opening’ kicks off at 8am on August 15 and the café will be open until 8pm. The extended opening hours will continue through the summer and the menu will include locally-sourced all day breakfasts, freshly battered fish goujons and gluten-free cakes

New owners, Emma and Michael Evans, have named the dog friendly café after their 18-month-old puppy.

An official opening party will take place on Saturday August 24 with nibbles, bubbles and music.

Tea by the Quay has seen several new owners over the past couple of years. Emma and Michael take over from mother and daughter Wendy and Sophie, who ran sold the tea room after 18 months at the helm. Prior to that, Andy and Simon operated the venue for six months in 2022.
