TWO men have been arrested and one taken to hospital following a suspected stabbing in Newton Abbot.

Police were called at 12pm today, June 6, to Market Street following a report that a man had sustained suspected stab wounds.

The man remains in hospital.

‘Two men have been arrested on suspicion on of assault’ a spokesperson for Newton Abbot Police said.

‘They remain in police custody’ the spokesperson added.

A scene guard remains in place at this time.

‘Anyone with information which may assist us is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 300 of 6 June’ the spokesperson went on to say.
