A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm, criminal damage and racially aggravated harassment in Newton Abbot last night, Monday.
A police spokesperson said: ‘Police were called at around 8.15pm last night to Newton Abbot town centre following reports of an assault involving two men.
‘A man in his 60s sustained injuries to his face, which did not require hospital treatment.
‘A 41-year-old man from Paignton was arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm, criminal damage, racially aggravated harassment and being a person in charge of a dog dangerously out of control.
‘He remains in police custody at this time.’
‘Enquiries remain ongoing.'
