A CANCER charity has had an extra special cash boost for Christmas thanks to Austin’s department store in Newton Abbot.

The store’s cosmetics and beauty department has hosted charity evenings  during the year, and the last one, a White Christmas-themed special held back in November helped tip the  total to £4000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

‘It was a great success,’ said Sharon Lobley from Austins. 

‘Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved and through ticket sales and raffles we were able to raise this amazing amount.'
