VOLUNTEER Louise Trewern, who, among other things, leads a regular wellbeing walk around Decoy County Park has won Active Devon’s volunteer of the year award.
‘I was thrilled to win the award for South Hams, Teignbridge & Torbay area’ Louise said.
‘These walks means so much to me and I get as much from them as the other walkers do!
‘Only recently one walker told me that finding our group had made a massive difference to his life!
‘Never underestimate the health benefits of walking groups and other community group activities’ she added.
The Active Devon Volunteer Awards highlight the impact volunteers make across the county.
‘We thank everyone who took the time to nominate and congratulate all of Devon’s volunteers – your commitment keeps us all moving and helps to transform lives!’ a spokesperson for Active Devon said.
