FIREFIGHTERS from Moretonhampstead, Bovey Tracey and North Tawton were called to reports of a fire at Grays Court, Wray Barton, Moretonhampstead, at 10pm on Tuesday.

They found there had been a fire in the log store next to a wood burner, but it was out.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus and using a thermal imaging camera, checked the area. The living room suffered around ten per cent smoke damage and the floor boards around the hearth were slightly damaged.
