THE ever blossoming Teignmouth Art Society (TAS) is holding it’s 2024 Spring Exhibition at the Teignmouth Arts Action Group (TAAG) gallery from March 2 to March 8.
TAS has more than 180 members and supports local artists through its various exhibitions and workshops.
While some see Teignmouth solely as a place of beauty with its seaside and estuary location, the town is fast becoming the ‘St Ives’ of the South Devon art scene with a vibrant and thriving local art community.
This year’s exhibition is being held at the TAAG venue at 4-5 Northumberland Place, Teignmouth, with both TAS and TAAG joining forces, this year’s exhibition promises to be an event not to be missed.
The venue is in the centre of town, surrounded by cafes, a wide variety of shops, and is near the beach.
Visitors play an active role in the exhibition by contributing to the ‘People’s Choice Margaret Allenby Award’.
In keeping with the beauty of Spring, other judged award categories include best floral painting and portrait and figure painting.
So come along, meet the artists, view their fabulous art work, and continue the tradition of voting for your favourite exhibit.
The TAS Spring Exhibition runs from March 2 to March 8 from 10am to 5pm, except on the 8th when its open from 10am to 3pm.
