ONE dedicated fundraising has drummed-up more than £1,500 for Cancer Research UK.
Eleven-year-old Leah Pike, whose nan Linda – both pictured – works at Newton Abbot’s Country Table, put on a charity coffee morning in Cockington at the weekend.
The youngster, who arranged the whole event and even baked some of the cakes, raised £1,163.
Cancer Research is a charity the Pike family hold close to their hearts.
Leah’s grandad Robert died from cancer and her grandmother suffered from cancer.
Linda said: ‘Leah is a kind and loving young lady who has seen her grandad, my husband, pass away with cancer.
‘Leah has worked hard and I am a really proud nanny and I know her grandad would be proud, too.’
