THE Salvation Army Christmas Toy Appeal was launched on Tuesday at the Tesco Kingsteignton store.
It is the third year the appeal has been launched at the store, where its customers donate new toys for children to receive a present who may not otherwise have a gift on Christmas Day.
The mayor of Kingsteignton, Cllr David Rollason, said it was a brilliant example of partnership between Tesco, the Salvation Army and Social Services working together for the benefit of the community to allow children to celebrate Christmas in the traditional way.
