SUNDAY, May 7, saw the great and the good from Highweek gather at their village hall in celebration of King Charles III, newly crowned the day prior.

More than 50 people came together at the venue to celebrate the Coronation.

Chairman of Highweek Village Hall, Anna Rooney, said: 'A marvellous time was had by everyone, the food was absolutely amazing and the Committee and extra helpers worked so hard.

'Oh, and two other things should be mentioned - King Charles made a flying visit and the sun shone.
