AFTER two months, Kenton’s new social group is in full swing and is seeking to expand. Group organiser, Susan Thompson has called the group ‘The Young at Heart’ , as she believes that this is the most fitting description.

Susan said: ‘There isn’t one among us who isn’t brimming full of thoughts and ideas which we all have happy times sharing.

‘The chat is lively over warming cups of tea and cake, enjoying many interesting discussions; sharing stories; playing word games; exploring local history and culture and often exchanging summaries and samples of favourite books and poetry.

‘Events and visits are planned as well as local walks as we move into Spring. There is no limit to the group’s potential or our own.’

The first meeting in 2023 was held on Tuesday January 10, and will continue fortnightly. The next meeting will be February 7. Meetings are held at Kenton’s Victory Hall in the Committee Room, 2–4 pm.
