A music festival at a Newton Abbot pub has raised over £1000 for a children’s mental health charity.
Jollystock, which took place at the Jolly Farmer over the bank holiday weekend, generated £1,200 for the Wave Project, which provides surf therapy programmes to support children and young people.
The surfing cowboys-themed festival came ahead of The Wave Project’s launch of a month-long ‘Get On Board’ challenge, which aims to raise £18,000 – equivalent to £1 per kilometre of UK coastline.
‘We’re incredibly grateful to the team at The Jolly Farmer for organising Jollystock and choosing to support The Wave Project,’ said The Wave Project South Devon co-ordinator Katie Smith.
