A PARISH council is calling upon people to help with its planned beach clean up for firework night.
From 8am tomorrow, Friday, October 27, representatives from Shaldon Parish Council will be present at the village's beach for a clean up operation ahead of the following week's bonfire and firework night.
The council aims to level areas, move rocks and dispose of seaweed in preparation for the event on November 4.
'There will be some heavy machinery being used that morning so we ask that children are kept well clear of these areas' a spokesperson for the council said.
'The areas being cleared will be cordoned off to carry out the work - thank you in advance for all your help and co-operation' the spokesperson added.
