A SERVING prisoner has been jailed for 12 more weeks for attacking two prison officers at Princetown.

Ian Stephen Nigel Robinson, aged 41, of HMP Erlestoke, Devises, admitted charges of assault by beating on Stephen Heyes and Paul Hocking, emergency workers, namely prison officers, on November 8, 2021.

For the attack on Mr Heyes South and West Devon Magistrates' Court sentenced Robinson to 12 weeks to run consecutively with the sentence imposed by Winchester Crown Court in September 2021. For the attack on Mr Hocking Robinson was sentenced to eight weeks in jail to run concurrently with the 12-week sentence, meaning he will serve an extra 12 weeks. His guilty plea was taken into account during sentencing.
